Annual Essay Competition
Our annual writing challenge invites young Africans to express their ideas, hopes, and leadership visions in powerful essays shaped by PFF’s theme for the year. This platform celebrates imagination, courage, and the unique voices of Africa’s next generation. We aim to grow this initiative into a vibrant storytelling movement. Our plans include: launching a yearly journal of youth leadership writing, creating an anthology that captures the continent’s brightest young thinkers, publishing books that uplift youth voices and preserve African perspectives, developing children’s stories, authentic African stories written by young Africans, for African children.
At the heart of this initiative is our most cherished honour: The best essay will be awarded the Sopuruchi Creative Writing Prize, celebrating excellence, originality, and leadership through writing.
